My name is Mittons and I’m an adorable Ragamuffin black and white cat. I’m a bit like the cat you see Blofeld (from James Bond) holding or stroking. While that chap is an entirely white Persian, though he is never named, he is perhaps more famous than the villain himself. So why does he, as a superior being, not have a name? This matter bothers me a lot. I think it is very sad that in view of the length of time that James Bond has been running, no one stopped to think about the cat’s feelings. I have been thinking about writing to the editor of the Times about this serious matter but am unable to hold a pen. I do think some humans can be very cruel.
However, coming back to talking about me, I am extremely handsome and loveable. I live with my friend Mischief who is also another cat and the same age as me. We are both 3 years old. I am finding the Book of Saffron very enjoyable and I will continue to read the stories and comment the best as I can. While I do find that using the keyboard quite difficult with my paws, overall, I am doing a pretty good job.
