2021 March – Shhh…..be vewy, vewy quiet, Venn Diagram, Eggy, Finito

Shhh. Be vewy, vewy quiet, I’m hunting wabbits

This is a picture of a cheeky wild rabbit just waiting to demolish all the plants in the front garden.

See what I mean…?

Rabbits are indigenous to Spain apparently and they were introduced to the UK by the Normans in the 12th Century for fur and food.

Well they seem to have plenty of fur and they’re certainly helping themselves to food.

This is me patrolling the back garden later.

It doesn’t take long to be honest but it gives me something to do.  I am checking to make sure the rabbits haven’t got in here as well.

All clear so far.

More’s the pity.

Venn Diagram

Mum’s favourite Venn diagram.

She says it sums up her life nicely.

Eggy, eggy, eggy

This is a picture of me out and about.

It was a very sniffy walk today.

This me relaxing afterwards.

Mum gave me a nice bowl of raw egg because she broke one.  An egg that is not a bowl.  She broke a bowl last week.  She can be quite clumsy at times.

However, she may regret it later. The egg that is.

If you know what I mean.

Finito

And finally……from offspring #4

Nothing to add.

Reading:

Mendel’s Dwarf by Simon Mawer, published by Anchor

A novel presenting the ethical dilemmas of of genetic research, in a love story that lurches from sharp humour to jaw dropping sadness and back again. A book about the power, fallibility and abuse of science, the cruelty of nature and the search for perfection.

Film:

Any of the Mission Impossible films with Tom Cruise.

Six have been made so far and there are 2 more in production apparently.

Frankly, take your pick – if you like action / adventure, any of them will do nicely.

Simon Pegg adds a bit of ‘British’ to the films as Benji Dunn, from MI three onwards and has also written on Ghost Protocol.  He’s also been really upfront about how alcoholism made him ‘a bit of a wreck’ on set of MI three and he finds it really hard to watch the film now.

You’d never know – and maybe that’s one of the problems eh?
