2020 April – Mandalorian, Kobe, Raw Food, Cocktails, Daily Exercise, Carer, R & R
The Mandalorian
Mum and offspring #4 (who is staying for the pandemic) are both obsessed with Mando.
This is offspring #4 being the Mandalorian in her Beskar armour. Her fiancé is doing more productive and practical things like building a BBQ.
I’m helping him because frankly, offspring #4 is beyond help.
As you can probably tell.
Kobe
This is a picture of Kobe.
How cute is Kobe? He is in charge of offspring #2 and her boyfriend.
I am wishing him the best of doggo luck.
He is going to need all his wits about him to manage those two.
Raw Food
This is a picture of my raw food diet stuff.
This is a picture of my preferred raw food diet (minus the greenery probably).
Cocktails
OK, basically this is a picture of Mum’s plan on how to cope with the pandemic.
Well, it’s a plan.
Usually having a plan is better than having no plan, but in this case I’m not so sure…..
Daily Exercise
This is a picture of me doing my daily exercise.
The pandemic hasn’t really changed this bit of my life. Although there are more humans and dogs out and about than before and we are having to go further afield these days to avoid unexpected contact.
Still, I expect all this extra exercise and being out in nature is good for everyone.
Anyway, I’m not complaining.
Carer
This is a picture of me caring for offspring #4.
Honestly, she needs it. :)
I’ve added it all up and it seems this pandemic has left me accidentally responsible for 4 humans, Mum, her elderly Aunt, offspring #4 and fiancée.
It’s just as well I have broad shoulders and a sense of humour isn’t it?
R & R
This is a picture of lovely me having a bit of R&R.
I reckon I deserve it – don’t you?
Saffron’s recommendations this month:
Music: We’re opting for one of the great Rock / Brit Pop / Power Pop bands of the 90’s – yes, it’s Oasis. The Gallagher brothers were in the news musically (and for other reasons) s0 never a dull moment. Try these immense tracks:
Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Half the World Away
Don’t Look Back in Anger
Wonderwall
Live Forever
She’s Electric
Reading: Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, published by Vintage.
Taken from the promo website – Homo sapiens rules the world because it is the only animal that can believe in things that exist purely in its own imagination such as gods, states, money and human rights.
Starting from this provocative idea, Sapiens goes on to retell the history of our species from a completely fresh perspective. It explains that money is the most pluralistic system of mutual trust ever devised; that capitalism is the most successful religion ever invented; that the treatment of animals in modern agriculture is probably the worst crime in history; and that even though we are far more powerful than our ancient ancestors, we aren’t much happier.
If this isn’t enough you can try the next book – Homo Deus….a glimpse into our (potential) future….
Films: We’re venturing into the Universe that is Marvel. Not being able to go out on a whim (lockdown) means searching for things to watch. Offspring #4 and Mum watched a film a night until they’d finished all the current releases.
