2018 October – Offspring, Toys ‘r’ Washed, Quagmire, Exchange

Offspring

Offspring #2 has come to stay.

This is a picture of me making them feel welcome.  Apparently they had to go to work and I have covered them in dog hair.

It’s just a reminder of me and really they should just be grateful.

Toys ‘r’ Washed

Mum washed my toys.

They will never be the same again.

Je me sens triste.

Quagmire

It has rained a lot and the pond (in the wood) is overflowing.

I don’t mind because I quite like a paddle.  Everywhere is soaking wet though and very, very  muddy.

It doesn’t look like it but the background in the picture below is an actual quagmire.

Mum went in over her wellies.

I don’t bother with wellies so I was OK.

Exchange

This is a picture of near where we might (or might not) be living because apparently we are moving house in a few months time.

I am loving it.

There is a lot of water which is fine by me.  Also it is quite empty. Mum says this is probably due to the time of year and chances are it will be rammed in the summer.

Mum has sold (exchanged) our old house but she hasn’t found a new house to move into yet.  This is fairly typical Mum to be honest.  She can be quite impulsive at times.

She doesn’t even seem remotely worried.  How difficult can it be to find a new house Saffron?

Well, I expect we are just about to find out, aren’t we?

Hallowe’en

This is a picture of a ‘something’ in the woods.

There were a few scattered about so someone has made quite an effort.  I expect at twilight they are probably a bit freaky.

Fun fact – 30 million Americans will spend an estimated $480 million on Halloween costumes for their pets in 2018. The most popular costumes for pets are the pumpkin, followed by the hot dog, and the bumblebee.

What?   A bumblebee??

How about this ??  This is amazing.

Saffron’s recommendations this month:

Music:  OK we’re going all New Romantic with Spandau Ballet.  The NR pop culture movement emerged from the nightclub scene in Birmingham and London – followers often known as the Blitz Kids (after the venue The Blitz in Covent Garden run by Steve Strange) and influenced by Glam Rock (David Bowie and Roxy Music).

Through the Barricades (just the best song, really)

True

Gold

Chant No 1 (I don’t need this pressure on)

I’ll Fly for You

To Cut a Long Story Short

Reading:

‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ by Khaled Hosseini, published by Bloomsbury

An unforgettable portrait of a wounded country and a deeply moving story of family and friendship.  A heart wrenching story of an unforgiving time , an unlikely bond and an indestructible love.

The same author as ‘The Kite Runner’ – frankly read either book, or both, they’re a triumph.

Film:

We’re going immense this month with all films Matrix.

There are four feature films, beginning with The Matrix and continuing with three sequels, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and The Matrix Resurrections.

For ‘Reloaded’, GM generously donated over 300 cars and they were all completely wrecked by the end of filming.

Go Keanu and Carrie-Anne Moss. If you haven’t watched or don’t like these films then there is something quite seriously wrong with you.     That’s my official opinion and Saffron is rarely wrong.  :)

Either that or you have, in fact, already taken the blue pill………
