2017 November – Re-aligning my Chakras, Human Footstool, The Destroyer and Pre’s

Re-aligning my Chakras

The offspring are staying here for a while so I am considering re-aligning my chakras.

This is me balancing my heart chakra.

Apparently good activities for doing this are going on walks in nature (tick), spending time with family and friends (tick) and doing volunteer work for other people (this is me doing volunteer work with an offspring) so (tick).

Actively using the energy of compassion will re-awaken my heart chakra and make it feel full.

I’m wondering if I can achieve the same effect of heartfelt fullness via a nice chicken dinner but it’s too early in the day to tell, so I’m opting for this at the moment.

I’ll put the other theory to the test later I expect.

Human Footstool

Sometimes humans can come in handy as furniture.

Sounds unlikely I know but I am putting that theory to the test too with offspring #4.

It seems a fine theory to me.

The Destroyer

And you thought The Destroyer was a suit of Asgardian armour animated by magic and created by Odin and containing vast amounts of the Gods energies in order to do battle with the Celestials.    The armour was stored away in the Temple of Darkness but it was found by Loki who sought to use it against Thor.  Seeing how the Destroyer was indiscriminate in what it attacked, and fearing the safety of Asgard (and therefore his own safety too), Loki had Karnilla awaken Odin from his Odin sleep.  Odin collapsed the Temple, seemingly burying the Destroyer in the rubble.

Not that I want to be buried in the rubble, thank you very much, but I am wondering if, in fact, The Destroyer might be me.

Look what I have destroyed.

It didn’t take long.

Just saying.

Pre’s

This is a picture of me pre-walk.

I expect I may just have heard the sounds of my harness and lead being retrieved.  I am just about to trample offspring #4.

Never mind eh.

Saffron’s recommendations this month:

Music: Going retro (even more so) with The Stranglers.   Spanning 5 decades of music covering a variety of genres including Punk Rock, New Wave, Art Rock, Gothic Rock and Sophisti-pop (apparently).  Who knew?

Strange Little Girl

Peaches (listen to that Jean-Jacques Burnel bass, Grrrrrrrr)

Hanging Around (JJB again)

No More Heroes

Duchess

Golden Brown

(Get a) Grip (On yourself)

Reading:  ‘Chocolat’ by Joanne Harris, published by Black Swan.    A delightfully original spin on the age old conflict between outward show and inner virtue. An elegant novel which makes a witty plea for passion and pleasure against repression and denial.

Film:  Obviously ‘Chocolat’, starring Juliette Binoche and Judi Dench amongst others. Described as a crowd-pleaser and also an Art House movie for people who don’t like Art House movies.  No idea what this last thing means but I enjoyed it anyway.
